This act shall only apply to:\n\n1. Any appraisal or appraiser involving the following:\n\na. a federally related transaction,\n\nb. real estate-related financial transactions of the\n\nagencies, instrumentalities, and federally recognized\n\nentities covered by the Financial Institutions Reform,\n\nRecovery, and Enforcement Act of 1989, and\n\nc. any real estate-related transactions where an\n\nappraisal report was made under a written agreement\n\nthat the appraisal report would follow the Uniform\n\nStandards of Professional Appraisal Practice\n\nguidelines or where a written appraisal states that it\n\nis in compliance with the Uniform Standards of\n\nProfessional Appraisal Practice; and\n\n2. Appraisers certified or licensed pursuant to the Oklahoma\n\nCertified Real Estate Appraisers Act or representing themselves as\n\nsuch, whether such license or certification is active, inactive,\n\nexpired, suspended, or revoked as set forth in this act and the\n\nrules and regulations promulgated pursuant thereto, to the extent\n\nthat the appraisers and any real property valuation and any real\n\nproperty valuation activity performed by them shall conform to the\n\ncode of ethics as set forth in this act.\n\nB. Certified public accountants, licensed in the states or\n\nother U.S. jurisdictions, who perform appraisals of real estate\n\nincidental to the performance of professional services they provide\n\nto clients are excluded from the licensing and certification\n\nprovisions of the Oklahoma Certified Real Estate Appraisers Act\n\nunless the appraisal is a federally related transaction or a real\n\nestate-related financial transaction of the agencies,\n\ninstrumentalities and federally recognized entities covered by the\n\nFinancial Institutions, Reform, Recovery and Enforcement Act of\n\n1989.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"4e09607b26ba478f19690af8690c312adc8e4b78bb02d2e95e5779d5df235d71","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-858-701","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-858-703"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
