In addition to the seven (7) appointed members of the Board,\n\nthe Insurance Commissioner shall serve as ex-officio Chairperson of\n\nthe Board, voting only in case of a tie.\n\nB. As Chairperson, the Insurance Commissioner, in addition to\n\nhis duties prescribed by law as Insurance Commissioner on September\n\n1, 1991, shall be required to perform the following duties, for\n\nwhich duties he shall be paid an additional Twelve Thousand Dollars\n\n($12,000.00) annually, payable monthly from appropriations made to\n\nthe Insurance Department:\n\n1. Keep records of the proceedings of the Board;\n\n2. Call special meetings of the Board when in the judgment of\n\nthe chairperson it is necessary or proper to do so;\n\n3. Procure appropriate examination questions and answers which\n\nshall meet criteria established by the Appraisal Qualifications\n\nBoard of the Appraisal Foundation and approved by the Board;\n\n4. Prepare and file an annual report with the Speaker of the\n\nHouse of Representatives, the President Pro Tempore of the Senate\n\nand the Governor detailing the number of applicants for the\n\nexamination and the pass/fail rate;\n\n5. Establish and maintain a recordkeeping system approved by\n\nthe Board to monitor compliance with the continuing education\n\nrequirements imposed by law;\n\n6. Make recommendations to the Board concerning the\n\nestablishment of administrative procedures for conducting\n\ndisciplinary proceedings pursuant to the provisions of the Oklahoma\n\nCertified Real Estate Appraisers Act;\n\n7. Develop a procedure approved by the Board whereby persons\n\naggrieved by the actions of a licensed or certified appraiser may\n\nfile complaints with the Board;\n\n8. Annually compile and file a report with the Speaker of the\n\nHouse of Representatives, President Pro Tempore of the Senate and\n\nthe Governor detailing the number of complaints received by the\n\nBoard, the resulting number of investigations and hearings conducted\n\nand the final disposition of these matters;\n\n9. Prepare and file a report with the Speaker of the House of\n\nRepresentatives, the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and the\n\nGovernor evaluating the impact of the voluntary\n\nlicensure/certification program on future appraisers and recommend\n\nwhether an appraiser trainee or apprenticeship program should be\n\ninstituted; and\n\n10. Submit to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the\n\nPresident Pro Tempore of the Senate and the Governor on or before\n\nJanuary 1, 1994, a report evaluating the impact of the\n\nlicensure/certification requirements imposed by the Oklahoma\n\nCertified Real Estate Appraisers Act on the appraiser and banking\n\nindustry and include in the report any recommendations for\n\namendments to the Oklahoma Certified Real Estate Appraisers Act.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b8c751c381234e579b38ab45963a74634ad46c32e7c7a8e1eac45e20da9259cb","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-858-705","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-858-706"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
