State Certified General Appraiser - As a prerequisite to\n\ntaking the examination for certification as a State Certified\n\nGeneral Appraiser, an applicant shall present satisfactory evidence\n\nto the Real Estate Appraiser Board that such applicant has\n\nsuccessfully completed the minimum educational requirement specified\n\nby the Appraiser Qualification Criteria promulgated by the Appraiser\n\nQualifications Board of the Appraisal Foundation of courses in\n\nsubjects related to real estate appraisal from a nationally\n\nrecognized appraisal organization or college or university or\n\ntechnology center school or private school approved by the Board and\n\nsuch classes shall be made available on a regional basis throughout\n\nthe State of Oklahoma prior to the required examination date which\n\nmust include classroom hours related to standards of professional\n\npractice.\n\nB. State Certified Residential Appraiser - As a prerequisite to\n\ntaking the examination for certification as a State Certified\n\nResidential Appraiser, an applicant shall present satisfactory\n\nevidence to the Board that such applicant has successfully completed\n\nthe minimum educational requirement specified by the Appraiser\n\nQualification Criteria promulgated by the Appraiser Qualifications\n\nBoard of the Appraisal Foundation of courses in subjects related to\n\nreal estate appraisal from a nationally recognized appraisal\n\norganization or college or university or technology center school or\n\nprivate school approved by the Board and such classes shall be made\n\navailable on a regional basis throughout this state prior to the\n\nrequired examination date which must include classroom hours related\n\nto standards of professional practice.\n\nC. State Licensed Appraiser - As a prerequisite to taking the\n\nexamination for certification as a State Licensed Appraiser, an\n\napplicant shall present satisfactory evidence to the Board that such\n\napplicant has successfully completed the minimum education\n\nrequirement specified by the Appraiser Qualification Criteria\n\npromulgated by the Appraiser Qualifications Board of the Appraisal\n\nFoundation of courses in subjects related to real estate appraisal\n\nfrom a nationally recognized appraisal organization or a college or\n\nuniversity or technology center school or private school approved by\n\nthe Board and such classes shall be made available on a regional\n\nbasis throughout the State of Oklahoma prior to the required\n\nexamination date which must include classroom hours related to\n\nstandards of professional practice. Provided, that any appraiser\n\nwho becomes state licensed prior to July 1, 2001, shall not be\n\nrequired to complete any additional classroom hours necessary to\n\nmeet the minimum requirements of the Appraiser Qualifications Board\n\nof the Appraisal Foundation in order to maintain certification as a\n\nstate licensed appraiser.\n\nD. Trainee Appraiser – There shall be no examination for\n\ncertification as a Trainee Appraiser. As a prerequisite to\n\ncertification as a Trainee Appraiser, an applicant shall present\n\nsatisfactory evidence to the Board that such applicant has\n\nsuccessfully completed the minimum education requirement specified\n\nby the Appraiser Qualification Criteria promulgated by the Appraiser\n\nQualifications Board of the Appraisal Foundation of courses in\n\nsubjects related to real estate appraisal from a nationally\n\nrecognized appraisal organization or a college or university or area\n\ntechnology center school or private school approved by the Board and\n\nsuch classes shall be made available on a regional basis throughout\n\nthe State of Oklahoma prior to the required examination date which\n\nmust include classroom hours related to standards of professional\n\npractice.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"f711d3c6f11bb39c86254eb44375bb8aae8fa97460ef90b8a1a7ca6668882044","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-858-711","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-858-713"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
