The Board shall, in accordance with the provisions of the\n\nOklahoma Certified Real Estate Appraisers Act relating to hearings\n\non original certification and the requirement for such applicants to\n\nsubmit to a criminal history records search on and after January 1,\n\n2015, deny the issuance of a certificate as a trainee, state-\n\nlicensed, state-certified residential or state-certified general\n\nreal estate appraiser to the applicant on any of the grounds stated\n\nbelow:\n\n1. If the applicant has been convicted of, or pled guilty or\n\nnolo contendere to a felony in a domestic or foreign court during\n\nthe five-year period immediately preceding the date of application;\n\n2. If the applicant has been convicted of, or pled guilty or\n\nnolo contendere to a felony in a domestic or foreign court at any\n\ntime preceding the date of application if such felony involved an\n\nact of fraud, dishonesty, a breach of trust or money laundering; or\n\n3. The applicant has failed to demonstrate character and\n\ngeneral fitness such as to warrant a determination that the\n\napplicant may not operate honestly and fairly in the conduct of\n\nappraisals as outlined within the real property appraisal\n\nqualifications criteria established by the Appraiser Qualifications\n\nBoard.\n\nB. The Board may for all other applicants, in accordance with\n\nthe provisions of the Oklahoma Certified Real Estate Appraisers Act\n\nrelating to hearings, deny the issuance of a certificate as a\n\ntrainee, state licensed, state certified residential or state\n\ncertified general real estate appraiser to an applicant on any of\n\nthe grounds enumerated in the Oklahoma Certified Real Estate\n\nAppraisers Act.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"2a7ebe2d0463097b32ffd8aecb413b36168086cac613c4ec84dc28a246e1aa89","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-858-716","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-858-718"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
