As a prerequisite to renewal of certification, a trainee,\n\nstate licensed, state certified residential or state certified\n\ngeneral real estate appraiser shall present evidence satisfactory to\n\nthe Real Estate Appraiser Board of having met the continuing\n\neducation requirements of this section.\n\nB. The basic continuing education requirement of renewal of\n\ncertification shall be the completion by the applicant, during the\n\nimmediately preceding term of certification, of the minimum number\n\nof classroom hours of instruction in courses or seminars according\n\nto the guidelines promulgated by the Appraiser Qualifications Board.\n\nC. The Board shall adopt regulations for implementation of the\n\nprovisions of this section assuring that persons renewing their\n\ncertifications as trainee, state licensed, state certified\n\nresidential or state certified general real estate appraisers have\n\ncurrent knowledge of real property appraisal theories, practices,\n\nand techniques which will provide a high degree of service and\n\nprotection to those members of the public with whom they deal in a\n\nprofessional relationship under authority of the certification. The\n\nregulations shall prescribe the following:\n\n1. Policies and procedures for obtaining Board approval of\n\ncourses of instruction pursuant to subsection B of this section; and\n\n2. Standards, monitoring methods, and systems for recording\n\nattendance to be employed by course sponsors as a prerequisite to\n\nBoard approval of courses for credit.\n\nD. No amendment or repeal of a regulation adopted by the Board\n\npursuant to this section shall operate to deprive a trainee, state\n\nlicensed, state certified residential or state certified general\n\nreal estate appraiser of credit toward renewal of certification for\n\nany course of instruction completed by the applicant prior to the\n\namendment or repeal of the regulation which would have qualified for\n\ncontinuing education credit under the regulation as it existed prior\n\nto the repeal or amendment.\n\nE. Commencing thirty (30) days after the effective date of this\n\nact, a certification as a trainee, state licensed, state certified\n\nresidential or state certified general real estate appraiser that\n\nhas been revoked as a result of disciplinary action by the Board\n\nshall not be reinstated unless the applicant presents evidence of\n\ncompletion of the continuing education required pursuant to the\n\nprovisions of the Oklahoma Real Estate Appraisers Act. This\n\nrequirement of evidence of continuing education shall not be imposed\n\nupon an applicant for reinstatement who has been required to\n\nsuccessfully complete the examination for trainee, state licensed,\n\nstate certified residential or state certified general real estate\n\nappraiser as a condition to reinstatement of certification.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"3ac44ae4e0d856924341c438a7bb85a14db7acd7c8530c97b1b620bec1b9151c","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-858-721","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-858-723"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
