Stat. tit. 59, § 59-888.6v1","heading":"Application for license - Information required","body":"An applicant applying for a license as an occupational therapist\n\nor as an occupational therapy assistant shall file written\n\napplication on forms provided by the Board, as recommended by the\n\nCommittee, showing to the satisfaction of the Board that he meets\n\nthe following requirements:\n\n1. Residence: Applicants need not be a resident of this state;\n\n2. Education: Applicants shall present evidence satisfactory\n\nto the Board of having successfully completed the academic\n\nrequirements of an educational program in occupational therapy\n\nrecognized by the Board, with concentration in biological or\n\nphysical science, psychology and sociology, and with education in\n\nselected manual skills. For an occupational therapist the\n\neducational program shall be accredited by the Committee on Allied\n\nHealth Education and Accreditation/American Medical Association in\n\ncollaboration with the American Occupational Therapy Association.\n\nFor an occupational therapy assistant, such a program shall be\n\napproved by the American Occupational Therapy Association;\n\n3. Experience: Applicants shall submit to the Board evidence\n\nof having successfully completed a period of supervised field work\n\nexperience at a recognized educational institution or a training\n\nprogram approved by the educational institution where he met the\n\nacademic requirements. For an occupational therapist, a minimum of\n\nsix (6) months of supervised field work experience is required. For\n\nan occupational therapy assistant, a minimum of two (2) months of\n\nsupervised field work experience is required;\n\n4.
