Stat. tit. 59, § 59-888.9","heading":"Denial, refusal, suspension, revocation, censure,","body":"probation and reinstatement of license – Definitions.\n\nA. The Board may deny or refuse to renew a license, or may\n\nsuspend or revoke a license, or may censure a licensee, publicly or\n\notherwise, or may impose probationary conditions where the licensee\n\nor applicant for license has been guilty of unprofessional conduct\n\nwhich has endangered or is likely to endanger the health, welfare,\n\nor safety of the public. Such unprofessional conduct includes:\n\n1. Obtaining a license by means of fraud, misrepresentation, or\n\nconcealment of material facts;\n\n2. Engaging in unprofessional conduct as defined by the rules\n\nestablished by the Board, or violating the Code of Ethics adopted\n\nand published by the Board;\n\n3. Being convicted of a felony crime that substantially relates\n\nto the occupation of occupational therapy or poses a reasonable\n\nthreat to public safety;\n\n4. Violating any lawful order, rule, or regulation rendered or\n\nadopted by the Board; and\n\n5. Violating any provisions of this act.\n\nB. Such denial, refusal to renew, suspension, revocation,\n\ncensure, or imposition of probationary conditions upon a license may\n\nbe ordered by the Board in a decision made after a hearing in the\n\nmanner provided by the rules and regulations adopted by the Board.\n\nOne (1) year from the date of the revocation, refusal of renewal,\n\nsuspension, or probation of the license, application may be made to\n\nthe Board for reinstatement. The Board shall have discretion to\n\naccept or reject an application for reinstatement and may, but shall\n\nnot be required to, hold a hearing to consider such reinstatement.\n\nC. As used in this section:\n\n1. \"Substantially relates\" means the nature of criminal conduct\n\nfor which the person was convicted has a direct bearing on the\n\nfitness or ability to perform one or more of the duties or\n\nresponsibilities necessarily related to the occupation; and\n\n2. \"Poses a reasonable threat\" means the nature of criminal\n\nconduct for which the person was convicted involved an act or threat\n\nof harm against another and has a bearing on the fitness or ability\n\nto serve the public or work with others in the occupation.","path":["OK Code","Title 59"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os59.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"7f8ebd8957f2b11ccded0f667611d8b1ff785746435f50de43a6f1b255d43a2f","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-888.8","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-59-59-889"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
