Separation of books and accounts. Every bank having trust\n\npowers and every trust company shall establish and maintain in its\n\noffice a trust department, in which shall be kept separate and apart\n\nfrom its other business separate books and accounts, and shall keep\n\nall moneys, funds, investments and property of the department at all\n\ntimes segregated from and unmingled with other funds, moneys,\n\ninvestments and property.\n\nB. Labeling of securities. All bonds, warrants, notes,\n\nmortgages, deeds and other securities of every nature shall be so\n\nmarked, stamped, labeled or otherwise identified and segregated as\n\nto indicate the department of which such securities are a part.\n\nC. Prohibited operations of banks and trust companies having\n\ntrust powers. No bank shall receive in its trust department and no\n\ntrust company shall receive deposits of current funds subject to\n\ncheck or the deposit of checks, drafts, bills of exchange or other\n\nitems for collection or exchange purposes. Funds deposited or held\n\nin trust by the bank or trust company awaiting investment shall be\n\ncarried in a separate account and shall not be used by the bank or\n\ntrust company in the conduct of its business unless it shall first\n\nset aside in the trust department United States bonds or other\n\nsecurities approved by the Commissioner.
