Stat. tit. 6, § 6-1604","heading":"Requirements for carrying on banking business","body":"Requirements for carrying on banking business.\n\nA. No international banking corporation may transact a banking\n\nbusiness, or maintain in this state any office for carrying on such\n\nbusiness, or any part thereof, unless such corporation has:\n\n1. Been authorized by its charter to carry on such business and\n\nhas complied with the laws of the country under which it is\n\nchartered;\n\n2. Furnished to the Board such proof as to the nature and\n\ncharacter of its business and as to its financial condition as the\n\nBoard may require;\n\n3. Filed with the Board a certified copy of that information\n\nrequired to be supplied to the Secretary of State by those\n\nprovisions of the Oklahoma General Corporation Act which are\n\napplicable to foreign corporations;\n\n4. Paid to the Board a nonrefundable application fee in an\n\namount set by the Board; and\n\n5. Received a license duly issued to it by the Commissioner.\n\nB. The Commissioner may not issue a license to an international\n\nbanking corporation unless:\n\n1. It is chartered in a jurisdiction in which any bank having\n\nits principal place of business in this state may establish similar\n\nfacilities or exercise similar powers; or\n\n2. Under the Federal International Banking Act of 1978, the\n\nComptroller of the Currency of the United States could issue a\n\nlicense to the corporation to operate a federal agency without\n\nconsidering whether the international banking corporation is\n\nchartered in a jurisdiction in which any bank having its principal\n\nplace of business in this state may establish similar facilities or\n\nexercise similar powers.","path":["OK Code","Title 6"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os6.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"a261a58d5ad21c0d26c32083a32d2070b160c9dc7bb61b103dfbba9d86c06af8","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-6-6-1603","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-6-6-1605"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
