Stat. tit. 6, § 6-1612","heading":"Conversion from a federal agency to a state chartered","body":"agency and the reverse.\n\nConversion from a federal agency to a state chartered agency and\n\nthe reverse.\n\nA. An international banking corporation desiring to convert its\n\nexisting federal agency or representative office into a state\n\nchartered agency or representative office shall submit to the Board\n\nan application, on a form the Board shall provide, accompanied by\n\nnonrefundable application fees as may be set by the Board. An\n\nexamination and investigation may be conducted to the extent\n\ndetermined necessary by the Board. The cost of any such examination\n\nshall be paid by the applicant.\n\nB. Nothing in the laws of this state shall restrict the right\n\nof a state chartered agency or representative office which has paid\n\nits fee to convert to a federal agency or representative office upon\n\ncompliance with the laws of the United States. Upon completion of\n\nany such conversion, the state charter shall automatically terminate\n\nand shall be surrendered to the Board.\n\nC. An international banking corporation desiring to convert its\n\nexisting state chartered representative office to a state chartered\n\nagency or its existing state chartered agency to a state chartered\n\nrepresentative office shall submit to the Board an application on a\n\nform the Board shall provide. An application to convert to an\n\nagency shall be accompanied by all of the information and documents\n\nthat the state requires applicants for an agency to submit and by a\n\nnonrefundable application fee in an amount to be set by rule of the\n\nBoard. A nonrefundable application fee in an amount to be set by\n\nrule of the Board shall accompany an application to convert to a\n\nrepresentative office.\n\nD. An international banking corporation desiring to convert\n\nfrom a federal agency or representative office into a state\n\nchartered agency or representative office, or from its existing\n\nstate chartered representative office to an agency, shall be\n\nrequired to meet the minimum criteria of the particular type of\n\nstate chartered institution into which it is converting as well as\n\nany other criteria or conditions required by rule or order of the\n\nBoard.","path":["OK Code","Title 6"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os6.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"523986490e848cde28b7bcf9d2de145b68dd8b8b1a56203da244286b3a17ebcf","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-6-6-1611","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-6-6-1613"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
