Stat. tit. 6, § 6-2001","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this chapter:\n\n1. \"Credit union\" means a cooperative nonprofit society\n\nincorporated for the purpose of promoting thrift among its members,\n\nand creating a source of credit for them at legitimate rates of\n\ninterest for provident or productive purposes; and\n\n2. \"Paid-in and unimpaired capital and surplus\" means, the\n\nbalance of all paid-in share accounts and other deposits, less any\n\nloss for which no reserve has been established or which has not been\n\ncharged against undivided earnings, plus the credit balance (or less\n\nthe debit balance) of undivided earnings, after all losses have been\n\nprovided for and net earnings or net losses have been added thereto\n\nor deducted therefrom.
