Stat. tit. 6, § 6-2005","heading":"Unlawful transaction of business - Enforcement by Attorney","body":"General - Injunction and receiver.\n\nIt shall be unlawful for any individual, firm, association, or\n\ncorporation to transact a Credit Union business except as authorized\n\nby the laws of the State of Oklahoma or the United States, or to use\n\nor advertise in connection with any business, other than the credit\n\nunion business conducted under the laws of this State or of the\n\nUnited States, the term \"Credit Union,\" or any other term or terms\n\ncalculated to deceive the public into believing that such person,\n\nfirm, association, or corporation is engaged in the credit union\n\nbusiness. Any person, firm, association, or corporation violating\n\nany of the provisions of this section, either individually or as an\n\ninterested party, in any firm, association, or corporation, shall be\n\nguilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be fined\n\nin a sum of not less than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), nor more\n\nthan Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), or by imprisonment in the\n\nCounty jail for not less than thirty (30) days, nor more than six\n\n(6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment, and it is hereby\n\nmade the duty of the Attorney General to enforce the provisions of\n\nthis section; and in order to prevent the violation of this section,\n\nthe district court in the county wherein said credit union is\n\nlocated is hereby authorized and empowered to grant an injunction\n\nand to appoint a receiver to take charge of the business and assets\n\nof any person, firm, association, or corporation found guilty of\n\nviolating the provisions of this section, and to make all necessary\n\nand proper orders to wind up such business and prevent a violation\n\nof this section.","path":["OK Code","Title 6"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os6.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"fc3abaaa759471213316f1236a014c544eba2ce6d736034d40d88bdc0bacd066","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-6-6-2004.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-6-6-2006"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
