Stat. tit. 6, § 6-2042","heading":"Investments by fiduciaries, political subdivisions,","body":"corporations, etc. - Investment of public funds.\n\n(a) It shall be lawful for banks, savings banks, trust\n\ncompanies, life insurance companies, fire insurance companies,\n\nmutual casualty insurance companies, and other insurance companies\n\nand investment companies, building and loan associations, trustees,\n\nguardians, executors, administrators, and other fiduciaries, the\n\nState of Oklahoma and cities, villages, school districts, and other\n\npolitical subdivisions and all other corporations, associations and\n\npersons, subject to the laws of this state, to invest their funds\n\nand the moneys in their custody or possession, eligible for\n\ninvestment, in notes or bonds secured by mortgage or trust deed\n\ninsured by the Federal Housing Administrator and debentures issued\n\nby the Federal Housing Administrator, and in obligations of national\n\nmortgage associations, and\n\n(b) Wherever, by statute of this state, collateral is required\n\nas security for the deposit of public or other funds; or deposits\n\nare required to be made with any public official or department; or\n\nan investment of capital or surplus, or a reserve or other fund, is\n\nrequired to be maintained, consisting of designated securities,\n\nnotes and bonds insured and debentures issued by the Federal Housing\n\nAdministrator and obligations of national mortgage associations,\n\nshall be eligible for such purposes.","path":["OK Code","Title 6"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os6.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"cac4477ec2150ca10023931fde0f460b98df67bf3f888d1337a4fbcd0cc514be","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-6-6-2041","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-6-6-2043"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
