Stat. tit. 6, § 6-2103","heading":"Licenses - Requirement - Exceptions - Penalty","body":"(a) No person shall engage in the business of selling or issuing\n\nchecks as a service or for a fee or other consideration without\n\nfirst securing a license to do so from the Commissioner, except that\n\nno license under this act shall be required of any agent, subagent\n\nor representative of a licensee, or employee of such agent, subagent\n\nor representative who acts on behalf of such licensee in the sale or\n\nexchange of which the licensee is the issuer.\n\n(b) Any person who violates this section shall be fined not less\n\nthan Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or imprisoned in county jail for\n\nnot more than one (1) year, or both.
