Every state bank\n\nthat is a member of the Federal Reserve System shall maintain such\n\nreserves against deposits as may be required by the Federal Reserve\n\nAct, as amended, or by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve\n\nSystem.\n\nB. Banks not members of Federal Reserve System. Every bank\n\nwhich is not a member of the Federal Reserve System shall maintain\n\nsuch reserves against deposits as may be required by the Depository\n\nInstitutions Deregulation and Monetary Control Act of 1980, as\n\namended and as prescribed by the Board of Governors of the Federal\n\nReserve System.\n\nC. Power of Board to change reserve requirement - State\n\nnonmember banks. Whenever the Board shall determine that the\n\nmaintenance of sound banking practices or the prevention of\n\ninjurious credit expansion or contraction makes such action\n\nadvisable, the Board may change from time to time the requirements\n\nas to reserves against demand or time deposits, or both, of banks\n\nwhich are not members of the Federal Reserve System. Such change\n\nshall not be operative or effective until reasonable notice thereof\n\nhas been given to all state banks which are not members of the\n\nFederal Reserve System.
