Stat. tit. 60, § 60-124","heading":"Foreclosure of alien lands — Conveyance — Exception","body":"Any alien who shall hereafter hold lands in this state in\n\ncontravention of the provisions of this article, may nevertheless\n\nconvey the fee simple title thereof at any time before the\n\ninstitution of foreclosure proceedings as hereinafter provided.\n\nProvided, however, that if any such conveyance shall be made by such\n\nalien either to an alien or a citizen of the United States in trust,\n\nand for the purpose and with the intention of evading the provisions\n\nof this article, or the provisions of the Constitution of this\n\nstate, such conveyance shall be null and void, and any such lands so\n\nconveyed shall be forfeited and absolutely foreclosed upon.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 6649.
