Stat. tit. 60, § 60-175.502","heading":"Disbursements from principal","body":"DISBURSEMENTS FROM PRINCIPAL\n\nA. A trustee shall make the following disbursements from\n\nprincipal:\n\n1. The remaining one-half of the disbursements described in\n\nparagraph 1 and 2 of Section 25 of this act;\n\n2. All of the trustee's compensation calculated on principal as\n\na fee for acceptance, distribution, or termination, and\n\ndisbursements made to prepare property for sale;\n\n3. Payments on the principal of a trust debt;\n\n4. Expenses of a proceeding that concerns primarily principal,\n\nincluding a proceeding to construe the trust or to protect the trust\n\nor its property;\n\n5. Premiums paid on a policy of insurance not described in\n\nparagraph 4 of Section 25 of this act of which the trust is the\n\nowner and beneficiary;\n\n6. Estate, inheritance, and other transfer taxes, including\n\npenalties, apportioned to the trust; and\n\n7. Disbursements related to environmental matters, including\n\nreclamation, assessing environmental conditions, remedying and\n\nremoving environmental contamination, monitoring remedial activities\n\nand the release of substances, preventing future releases of\n\nsubstances, collecting amounts from persons liable or potentially\n\nliable for the costs of those activities, penalties imposed under\n\nenvironmental laws or regulations and other payments made to comply\n\nwith those laws or regulations, statutory or common law claims by\n\nthird parties, and defending claims based on environmental matters.\n\nB.
