Stat. tit. 60, § 60-659","heading":"Additional conditions leading to presumption of","body":"abandonment.\n\nUnless otherwise provided in the Uniform Unclaimed Property Act\n\nor by other statute of this state, intangible personal property is\n\nsubject to the custody of this state as unclaimed property if the\n\nconditions raising a presumption of abandonment under Sections 651.1\n\nand 651.2 through 658.1A of this title are satisfied, and:\n\n1. The last-known address, as shown on the records of the\n\nholder, of the apparent owner is in this state;\n\n2. The records of the holder do not reflect the identity of the\n\nperson entitled to the property and it is established that the last-\n\nknown address of the person entitled to the property is in this\n\nstate;\n\n3. The records of the holder do not reflect the last-known\n\naddress of the apparent owner, and it is established that:\n\na. the last-known address of the person entitled to the\n\nproperty is in this state, or\n\nb. the holder is a domiciliary or a government or\n\ngovernmental subdivision or agency of this state and\n\nhas not previously paid or delivered the property to\n\nthe state of the last-known address of the apparent\n\nowner or other person entitled to the property;\n\n4. The last-known address, as shown on the records of the\n\nholder, of the apparent owner is in a state that does not provide by\n\nlaw for the escheat or custodial taking of the property or its\n\nescheat or unclaimed property law is not applicable to the property,\n\nand the holder is a domiciliary, government, or governmental\n\nsubdivision or agency, including a municipality, of this state;\n\n5. The last-known address, as shown on the records of the\n\nholder, of the apparent owner is in a foreign nation and the holder\n\nis a domiciliary or a government or governmental subdivision or\n\nagency of this state; or\n\n6. The transaction out of which the property arose occurred in\n\nthis state, and\n\na. (1) the last-known address of the apparent owner or\n\nother person entitled to the property is unknown,\n\nor\n\n(2) the last-known address of the apparent owner or\n\nother person entitled to the property is in a\n\nstate that does not provide by law for the\n\nescheat or custodial taking of the property or\n\nits escheat or unclaimed property law is not\n\napplicable to the property, and\n\nb. the holder is a domiciliary of a state that does not\n\nprovide by law for the escheat or custodial taking of\n\nthe property or its escheat or unclaimed property law\n\nis not applicable to the property.","path":["OK Code","Title 60"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os60.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"c2bf28827768ee2265204b04cc1b308c7e9d88dd7367152a2a7ca4c5d3f92271","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-60-60-658.1a","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-60-60-66"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
