Stat. tit. 60, § 60-751","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this act, unless otherwise clearly required by the\n\ncontext:\n\n1. \"Beneficiary\" means and includes any person entitled, but\n\nfor his disclaimer, to take an interest, as grantee; as donee; under\n\nany assignment or instrument of conveyance or transfer; by\n\nsuccession to a disclaimed interest, other than by will, intestate\n\nsuccession or through the exercise or nonexercise of a testamentary\n\npower of appointment; as beneficiary of an inter vivos trust or\n\ninsurance contract; pursuant to the exercise or nonexercise of a\n\nnontestamentary power of appointment; as donee of a power of\n\nappointment created by a nontestamentary instrument; or otherwise\n\nunder any nontestamentary instrument;\n\n2. \"Interest\" means and includes the whole of any property,\n\nreal or personal, legal or equitable, or any fractional part, share\n\nor particular portion or specific assets thereof or any estate in\n\nany such property including but not limited to a joint tenancy\n\ninterest in any such property, or power to appoint, consume, apply\n\nor expend property or any other right, power, privilege or immunity\n\nrelating thereto; and\n\n3. \"Disclaimer\" means a written instrument which declines,\n\nrefuses, releases or disclaims an interest which would otherwise be\n\nsucceeded to by a beneficiary, which instrument defines the nature\n\nand extent of the interest disclaimed thereby and which must be\n\nsigned, witnessed and acknowledged by the disclaimant in the manner\n\nprovided for deeds of real estate.","path":["OK Code","Title 60"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os60.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"3ec191a4bd48c3d9d6eba7e72cfa28fe3de524774f4fcf1da4118050ddf5aa47","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-60-60-75","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-60-60-752"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
