The state and any of its political subdivisions, port\n\nauthorities and turnpike authorities may join, cooperate and\n\ncontract with other agencies or instrumentalities of federal, state\n\nor local governments, or with private persons, corporations,\n\npartnerships, business associations, fiduciaries or personal\n\nrepresentatives in and for the acquisition, condemnation, purchase,\n\nlease, sale, assignment, mortgage or use of title, rights, interests\n\nand estates in airspace. This power shall include, but shall not be\n\nlimited to, the joint development and multiple use of rights-of-way\n\nand adjoining property or airspace. In furtherance of such\n\nfunctions, the aforementioned entities and authorities shall have\n\nthe following powers:\n\n1. To do all things necessary to develop and effectuate a joint\n\ndevelopment and multiple use plan for an area which is to be\n\ndeveloped, including the coordination of such plan and cooperation\n\nwith all other affected agencies of federal, state or local\n\ngovernments; to collect and distribute informational material\n\npertaining thereto; to cooperate and coordinate activities and\n\nfunctions with interested or affected private persons, corporations,\n\npartnerships, business associations, fiduciaries, personal\n\nrepresentatives or groups; to employ consultants, planners and\n\nprofessional or advisory personnel or services; to contract with\n\nfederal, state, regional or local authorities or agencies, or with\n\nprivate persons, corporations, partnerships, business associations\n\nor other such organizations or associations for the preparation of\n\ntransportation and land use studies; and to contract for services,\n\nlabor, supplies, equipment or other items with governmental\n\nauthorities or private persons, corporations, partnerships, business\n\nassociations, fiduciaries, personal representatives or other persons\n\nas may be necessary to effectuate the joint development and multiple\n\nuse plan;\n\n2. To apply for, accept, receive, spend and account for such\n\nfunds, grants, loans, gifts and services from federal, state,\n\nregional or local governments or their instrumentalities or from\n\nprivate persons or from other sources as may be needed to develop\n\nand effectuate the joint development and multiple use plan; and to\n\nprovide and agree to such reasonable conditions and requirements as\n\nmay be necessary in connection therewith; and\n\n3. To perform such other acts and enter into such contracts or\n\nexecute such other legal documents as may be necessary or\n\nappropriate to develop, effectuate or execute the joint development\n\nand multiple use plan.\n\nB. The state and any of its political subdivisions, port\n\nauthorities and turnpike authorities may join with any other\n\nfederal, state, regional or local governmental authority in the\n\ncondemnation through exercise of the power of eminent domain of land\n\nor airspace in excess of that necessary for the highway, road or\n\nstreet right-of-way, whenever such excess condemnation is necessary\n\nand appropriate to effectuate a joint development and multiple use\n\nplan.","path":["OK Code","Title 60"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os60.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"ddd610ee181145ae97f4385c686cb7aa210f295824010aedc71b46e1661f8761","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-60-60-810","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-60-60-812"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
