Stat. tit. 60, § 60-862","heading":"Definitions","body":"\n\nAs used in the Community Residential Living for Persons with\n\nDevelopmental or Physical Disabilities Act:\n\n1. \"Commission\" means the Commission for Human Services;\n\n2. \"Developmental disability\" means a severe, chronic\n\ndisability of a person which:\n\na. is attributable to a mental or physical impairment or\n\ncombination of mental and physical impairments,\n\nb. is manifested before the person attains twenty-two\n\n(22) years of age,\n\nc. is likely to continue indefinitely,\n\nd. results in substantial functional limitations in three\n\nor more of the following areas of major life activity:\n\n(1) self-care,\n\n(2) receptive and expressive language,\n\n(3) learning,\n\n(4) mobility,\n\n(5) self-direction,\n\n(6) capacity for independent living, and\n\n(7) economic self-sufficiency, and\n\ne. reflects the person's need for a combination and\n\nsequence of special, interdisciplinary, or generic\n\ncare, treatment, or other services which are of\n\nlifelong or extended duration and are individually\n\nplanned and coordinated;\n\n3. \"Physical disability\" means a condition which causes the\n\nrestricted use of extremities by an individual or which limits other\n\nbodily functions of an individual and which requires the specialized\n\ntraining, habilitation or rehabilitation services provided by a\n\ngroup home;\n\n4. \"Director\" means the Director of the Department of Human\n\nServices;\n\n5. \"Group home\" means a community-based residential facility\n\nlocated in a single-family zoning area that admits not more than six\n\npersons with developmental or physical disabilities who require\n\nspecialized living arrangements, and that provides for such persons\n\na home that is subject to the care and supervision of a responsible\n\nadult and which is licensed by or which has a contract with the\n\nDepartment of Human Services;\n\n6. \"Permitted use\" means a use by right which is authorized in\n\nall residential zoning districts; and\n\n7. \"Political subdivision\" means a municipality or county,\n\nwhichever holds primary jurisdiction.","path":["OK Code","Title 60"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os60.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"211deade10ce4e9872f31920710a9546cffc5e1c3cb9f61dcaf1e999d1292345","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-60-60-861","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-60-60-863"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
