Stat. tit. 61, § 61-137","heading":"Termination of certain unperformed contracts","body":"Any contract which has been bid under the provisions of the\n\nPublic Competitive Bidding Act, Section 101 et seq. of Title 61 of\n\nthe Oklahoma Statutes, and on which no work has been performed and\n\nno formal claim or litigation has been pending within the last\n\ntwenty-four (24) months shall be terminated by the public agency\n\nwhich awarded the contract. After termination, the public agency\n\nshall determine the amount of any final payment due to the\n\ncontractor and shall make such payment to the contractor at the\n\ncontractor's last-known address, or if the public agency is unable\n\nto locate the contractor, the amount due shall be held in a separate\n\naccount by the State Treasurer in the name of the contractor.\n\nTermination of the contract and payment to the contractor or deposit\n\nof the funds due to the contractor as determined by the public\n\nagency shall release the public agency from any further liability to\n\nthe contractor or surety company. Any such funds held by the State\n\nTreasurer for the contractor which are not claimed by the contractor\n\nwithin thirty-six (36) months from the date of deposit with the\n\nState Treasurer shall be deposited in the General Revenue Fund and\n\nthe state shall have no further liability on the project to the\n\ncontractor or surety company.","path":["OK Code","Title 61"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os61.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"149cfd0c1fd974615598422c6aed0bcbbda8cde6547b9937fb21b1ff4549332f","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-61-61-136","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-61-61-138"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
