This act shall not apply to:\n\na. highway construction,\n\nb. railroad construction, or\n\nc. turnpike construction.\n\n2. Except as the following may be a portion of a construction\n\ncontract as defined in Section 2 of this act, this act shall not\n\napply to:\n\na. roads,\n\nb. bridges,\n\nc. utilities,\n\nd. traffic control,\n\ne. drainage construction,\n\nf. sanitary sewer construction, or\n\ng. waterline construction.\n\n3. This act shall not apply to any contract relating to a\n\nsingle-, two-, three-, or four-family dwelling.\n\nB. The following are against the public policy of this state\n\nand are void and unenforceable:\n\n1. A provision, covenant, clause or understanding in,\n\ncollateral to or affecting a construction contract that makes the\n\ncontract subject to the laws of another state or that requires any\n\nlitigation, arbitration or other dispute resolution proceeding\n\narising from the contract to be conducted in another state; and\n\n2.
