Stat. tit. 61, § 61-309","heading":"Oil, gas and mineral leases upon state lands - Drilling","body":"contracts - Notice - Disposition of royalties, bonuses or rentals.\n\nA. The Office of Management and Enterprise Services is hereby\n\nauthorized and empowered to offer for sale and sell and execute and\n\ndeliver oil and gas or mineral leases upon the lands described in\n\nSection 1 of Title 73 of the Oklahoma Statutes under the control of\n\nsaid Office of Management and Enterprise Services. The Office of\n\nManagement and Enterprise Services is hereby authorized and\n\nempowered to enter into contracts with persons or corporations for\n\nthe drilling of oil and gas wells on any such property owned by the\n\nstate. No such lease or drilling contract shall be entered into by\n\nsaid Office of Management and Enterprise Services which provides for\n\nthe payment of a royalty to the State of Oklahoma of less than one-\n\neighth (1/8) of all of the oil, gas, or casinghead gas produced,\n\nsaved, and sold from said lands, plus cash bonus, of the royalty in\n\nsaid leases. Such Office shall give notice of its intention to\n\noffer for sale said lease or drilling contract by advertising said\n\nfact for a period of at least twenty-one (21) days electronically on\n\nan authorized state website and in a legal newspaper published and\n\nof general circulation in the county where said lands are located.\n\nThe Office shall award such lease, leases, or drilling contracts to\n\nthe highest responsible bidder. All bidding shall be by sealed\n\nwritten or electronic bids filed with said Office of Management and\n\nEnterprise Services.\n\nB. All royalties, bonuses, and rentals accruing to the state\n\nfrom any contracts or leases executed pursuant to the provisions of\n\nsubsection A of this section and all other monies received from the\n\nsale of any such leases, bonuses, and royalties or other contracts\n\nmade by said Office of Management and Enterprise Services shall be\n\ncredited to the Maintenance of State Buildings Revolving Fund of the\n\nState of Oklahoma.","path":["OK Code","Title 61"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os61.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"87eb6d92a872904fd97b61d9d26a469e6981735f233ce2112c03f18668e57c7b","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-61-61-308","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-61-61-310"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
