Stat. tit. 62, § 62-306b","heading":"Judicial approval of compromise settlement - Release and","body":"discharge of property.\n\nWhen any such compromise settlement shall have been duly\n\nexecuted by the parties and approved by the city council of such\n\nmunicipality, the same shall be presented to the district court of\n\nthe county wherein the property sought to be discharged is situated\n\nupon the petition of the parties, which petition shall recite the\n\nfacts and circumstances of the proposed compromise settlement and\n\npray the confirmation of the same by said court and an order\n\ndischarging the property from the lien securing the payment of such\n\nmatured and unpaid street improvement bond, or warrant, or district\n\nsanitary sewer, or storm sewer, or sidewalk warrant. At any time\n\nafter the filing of such petition the parties may present the same\n\nto said court and the court upon presentation shall examine the same\n\nand if the court shall find that said proposed compromise settlement\n\nis a fair adjustment of the rights and interests of the parties and\n\nthe consideration for the same adequate and properly proportioned,\n\nan order shall be entered confirming said compromise settlement and\n\ndischarging and releasing the property involved of and from any\n\ncharge or lien of any special tax assessed for the purpose of paying\n\nsuch matured and unpaid bond or warrant; and, said court shall, at\n\nthe time of entering of said order, cause to be endorsed upon such\n\nbond or bonds, or warrant or warrants, a statement showing the\n\ndischarge and release of such property.","path":["OK Code","Title 62"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os62.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"0a224ac1b3d927ec7fec7ac16f423cd0e01ded5e9f65cdf23270e30b3c560461","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-62-62-306a","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-62-62-306c"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
