Stat. tit. 62, § 62-34.95","heading":"Utilization of information collected by Office of","body":"Management and Enterprise Services – Evaluation reports by House\n\nappropriations and budget and Senate appropriations committees\n\nA. The Appropriations and Budget Committee of the Oklahoma\n\nHouse of Representatives and the Appropriations Committee of the\n\nState Senate shall:\n\n1. Utilize information collected by the Office of Management\n\nand Enterprise Services pursuant to Section 34.36 of this title and\n\nany reports issued by the Legislative Oversight Committee on State\n\nBudget Performance to evaluate management programs, operations and\n\nfiscal needs of state agencies, boards, commissions, departments,\n\ndivisions, offices, bureaus, institutions and other spending\n\nagencies, including those created or established pursuant to\n\nconstitutional provisions; and\n\n2. File an evaluation report no later than March 1 of each\n\nfiscal year with the Chief Clerk of the Oklahoma House of\n\nRepresentatives and the Clerk of the State Senate which shall\n\ninclude, but not be limited to, the following information:\n\na. a review of the agency's programs, performance and\n\nmanagement,\n\nb. whether the agency has demonstrated a public need for\n\nthe services and programs justifying the agency's\n\ncontinued existence, and\n\nc. whether the agency is the most appropriate provider of\n\nthe programs and services furnished by the agency.\n\nB. The Appropriations and Budget Committee of the Oklahoma\n\nHouse of Representatives and the Appropriations Committee of the\n\nState Senate shall utilize information contained in the evaluation\n\nreport in determining final appropriations for state agencies and in\n\nany future adjustments in funding levels.\n\nC. No action shall be taken on a measure making an\n\nappropriation unless the evaluation report described by paragraph 2\n\nof subsection A of this section with respect to the entity to which\n\nthe appropriation is made has first been filed with the applicable\n\nclerk.\n\nD. Each subcommittee of the Appropriations Committee of the\n\nOklahoma State Senate and the Appropriations and Budget Committee of\n\nthe Oklahoma House of Representatives shall establish budget\n\nperformance measurements for each spending agency under its\n\njurisdiction. The performance measurements shall be developed in\n\norder to allow the Legislature and the Governor to obtain\n\nmeasureable data to determine if the agency is performing its duties\n\nin the most cost-effective manner possible.\n\nEach spending agency, whether or not it receives state\n\nappropriations, shall submit analysis reports as required by the\n\nsubcommittee in order to enable the subcommittee to make a\n\ndetermination as to whether the agency has met the established\n\nperformance measurements.\n\nSuch requirements may be established for the forthcoming fiscal\n\nyear and for such additional fiscal years in the future as the\n\nsubcommittees deem appropriate.","path":["OK Code","Title 62"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os62.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"34cd516a787e5233c1f8e29b75299b2f369d7ecc377f527776568a5a3fe678fa","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-62-62-34.94","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-62-62-34.96"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
