Stat. tit. 62, § 62-35.3","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Information Technology Consolidation and\n\nCoordination Act:\n\n1. “Appropriated state agency” means any state agency that\n\nreceives funding through the annual legislative appropriations\n\nprocess;\n\n2. “Information technology assets” means any equipment or\n\ninterconnected system or subsystem of equipment that is used in the\n\nacquisition, storage, manipulation, management, movement, control,\n\ndisplay, switching, interchange, transmission, or reception of data\n\nor information. The term shall include computers, ancillary\n\nequipment, software, firmware and similar procedures, services,\n\nincluding support services and consulting services, software\n\ndevelopment, and related resources, and shall further include\n\ntelecommunications fiber networks used for conveying electronic\n\ncommunication or information systems to multiple physical locations;\n\n3. “Information technology position” means a classified or\n\nunclassified position in the following functional areas:\n\na. applications programming,\n\nb. EDP audit,\n\nc. data examination,\n\nd. computer applications,\n\ne. computer data entry,\n\nf. computer networking,\n\ng. computer operations,\n\nh. computer programming,\n\ni. computer security,\n\nj. computer software design,\n\nk. web applications,\n\nl. database analysis,\n\nm. data management analysis,\n\nn. database development,\n\no. database programming,\n\np. software design/development,\n\nq. help desk,\n\nr. imaging,\n\ns. systems analysis,\n\nt. systems application planning,\n\nu. systems application,\n\nv. systems administration,\n\nw. systems coordination,\n\nx. systems integration,\n\ny. systems operation,\n\nz. systems planning/development,\n\naa. systems programming,\n\nbb. systems engineering,\n\ncc. systems service specialist,\n\ndd. systems support,\n\nee. network administration,\n\nff. network management,\n\ngg. network technical,\n\nhh. operating systems specialist,\n\nii. systems program manager,\n\njj. telecommunications, whether data or voice,\n\nkk. software training, and\n\nll. technology development or support;\n\n4. “Nonappropriated state agency” means any state agency that\n\ndoes not receive funding through the annual legislative\n\nappropriations process;\n\n5. “Shared services” means those state agency functions which\n\nare or could be provided through:\n\na. the services and systems specified in subsection A of\n\nSection 35.6 of this title, and\n\nb. the programs, services, software, or processes\n\nspecified in subsection B of Section 35.6 of this\n\ntitle; and\n\n6. “State agency” means any office, elected or appointed\n\nofficer, bureau, board, commission, counsel, unit, division, body,\n\nauthority, or institution of the executive branch of state\n\ngovernment excluding institutions within The Oklahoma State System\n\nof Higher Education, the Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority, the\n\nOklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, the Oklahoma State\n\nBureau of Investigation, the District Attorneys Council, the Office\n\nof the Attorney General, the Office of the State Auditor and\n\nInspector, and the telecommunications network known as OneNet.","path":["OK Code","Title 62"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os62.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"a778f65c4334eac707fe5a5ddbb429245c0fb12187a63162401816f6f199cd24","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-62-62-35.2","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-62-62-35.4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
