The term \"board\" as used herein shall be construed to mean\n\nthe board of directors, or the board of education of any school\n\ndistrict, independent or otherwise, the board of trustees of any\n\ntown or township, the mayor and council of any city, the board of\n\ncommissioners or city council of any city having a charter form of\n\ngovernment and the board of county commissioners of any county\n\nincluding, in counties with a population in excess of six hundred\n\nthousand (600,000) persons, the board of trustees of any jail trust\n\ncreated in Title 60 of the Oklahoma Statutes whose sole beneficiary\n\nis the county, if approved by the board of county commissioners.\n\nB. The term \"judgment\" shall be construed to mean:\n\n1. The final determination by any court of competent\n\njurisdiction in any action or proceeding to determine the rights of\n\nparties; or\n\n2. The final judgment, decision and determination of an\n\nadministrative law judge or an administrative agency designated by\n\nthe State Legislature to issue workers' compensation judgments,\n\ndecisions and determinations.\n\nC. The term \"municipality\" as used herein shall be construed to\n\nmean any school district, independent or otherwise, any township,\n\nany city or town, irrespective of the form of government prevailing\n\nin the city or town, and any county which, in counties with a\n\npopulation in excess of six hundred thousand (600,000) persons,\n\nhereby includes a jail trust created in Title 60 of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes whose sole beneficiary is the county, if approved by the\n\nboard of county commissioners.","path":["OK Code","Title 62"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os62.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"84ec3ff9bd3c201cdc2c253462ade4dffcc6f34b76b6c0b1dc053145156d534e","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-62-62-36.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-62-62-362"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
