Stat. tit. 62, § 62-393","heading":"Proof of outstanding indebtedness - Statement and finding","body":"- Signing and delivery of bonds - Treasurer chargeable - Appeals.\n\nOn the day named in the notice referred to in the preceding\n\nsection, the officers authorized to issue bonds under this article\n\nshall go before the court named in said notice and make proof, to\n\nthe satisfaction of the court, of the existence, character and\n\namount of the outstanding legal indebtedness of said municipality.\n\nOn such proof being made the court shall cause to be made, upon the\n\nrecords of the court, a statement and finding to that effect and\n\nshall then, in open court, proceed to sign each bond to be issued,\n\nup to the amount of said indebtedness so proven and approved, and\n\nshall, after expiration of the time for taking appeals, if no appeal\n\nbe taken, deliver the same to the treasurer of said municipality\n\nissuing the same, who shall be chargeable therefor, and shall be\n\nliable on his official bond for said bonds. Appeals from the\n\njudgment of the court shall be allowed as provided by law, upon the\n\ngiving of a bond for costs and damages in such sum as the court\n\nshall require; and if an appeal is taken as herein provided, then\n\nsaid bonds shall not be delivered to the treasurer of said\n\nmunicipality until the final determination of said appeal.","path":["OK Code","Title 62"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os62.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"e2f784232c8dad26e8aefaed53578618c4a5bc6e7f72c63e544c66c75a851b82","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-62-62-392","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-62-62-394"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
