Stat. tit. 62, § 62-396","heading":"Registration of bonds","body":"The clerk of every county, city, town, township, school district\n\nand board of education, issuing bonds under Sections 391 et seq. of\n\nthis title shall register the same in his office. Such bonds shall\n\nalso, in every case, be registered by the county clerk, showing the\n\ndate, number and amount thereof, rate of interest, to whom payable,\n\nwhere payable, date of maturity, and, if optional, under what\n\nconditions; and all indebtedness refunded under this article shall\n\nhave the words \"paid in full\" marked in a plain manner across the\n\nface of each bond, or warrant refunded; and such canceled\n\nobligations shall be carefully preserved in the office of the county\n\nclerk or destroyed by the county commissioners, a register of the\n\nnumber, amount and date of issue having been first made by the\n\ncounty clerk. The proper officer shall, at the time of issuing\n\nrefunding bonds, make out and transfer to the State Auditor and\n\nInspector a certified statement of all proceedings had by the proper\n\nboard or city council as shown of record and that said bonds have\n\nbeen issued for value in all respects in conformity to this article\n\nfor certain indebtedness to be surrendered, definitely describing\n\nthe bonds issued and the indebtedness to be surrendered, in exchange\n\ntherefor and that they have been duly registered by the attesting\n\nclerk and the county clerk as required herein; which statement shall\n\nbe in such form and include such other information as the State\n\nAuditor and Inspector may require, and be signed by all the officers\n\nwhose signatures are attached to such bonds, and attested by the\n\nproper clerk, with the corporate seal of the county, city, town,\n\ntownship, school district or board of education, if any, and duly\n\nacknowledged before the county clerk. And the State Auditor and\n\nInspector shall, upon being satisfied that such bonds have been\n\nissued according to the provisions of this article, and that the\n\nsignatures thereto of the officers signing the same are genuine,\n\nregister the same in his office in a book kept for that purpose and\n\nshall, under his seal of office, certify upon such bonds the fact\n\nthat they have been registered in his office according to law.\n\nNothing in Sections 391 et seq. of this title shall be construed to\n\nprohibit options available under the Registered Public Obligations\n\nAct of Oklahoma.","path":["OK Code","Title 62"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os62.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"e631c28395794a866534d5cfa673f7360c14dda6660bbf503d71da69fc6ab6a6","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-62-62-395","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-62-62-397"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
