Stat. tit. 62, § 62-414","heading":"Annual tax levy to pay interest and principal - Sinking","body":"fund.\n\nThe governing body, or authority of any county, city, town,\n\ntownship, board of education, school district or other municipal\n\ncorporation, issuing bonds under authority of this act, shall\n\nprovide, prior to the delivery thereof to the purchaser, for a levy\n\nof annual taxes on all taxable property in the county, city, town,\n\ntownship, board of education, school district or other municipal\n\ncorporation, as the case may be, sufficient in amount to pay, and\n\nfor the express purpose of paying, the interest on said bonds as it\n\nfalls due, and also to pay and discharge the principal thereof at\n\nmaturity; and, in every instance in which any county, city, town,\n\ntownship, board of education, school district or other municipal\n\ncorporation shall issue bonds under this act, it shall be the\n\nimperative duty of the proper officers, whose duty it may be to levy\n\ntaxes, to levy annually, at the time of making the levy of other\n\ntaxes, a tax sufficient in amount to pay the interest upon said\n\nbonds and the coupons as they become due, and to create a sinking\n\nfund for the payment of the principal of such bonds at their\n\nmaturity.","path":["OK Code","Title 62"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os62.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b6d3da0ccec0657f9f4af6be9f46c230cd6001dddaf26b98d6457bebced2a7b8","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-62-62-413","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-62-62-415"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
