Stat. tit. 62, § 62-422","heading":"Authorization by governing body - Notice - Execution and","body":"attestation - Denominations - Place of payment - Recital as to\n\nissuance under act.\n\nBonds issued under this act shall be authorized by resolution,\n\nor ordinance, as the case may be, of the governing body of any\n\ncounty, city, town, township, board of education, school district,\n\nor other municipal corporation issuing such bonds. Notice of the\n\nintention to authorize the issuance of such bonds shall be given by\n\none publication in a newspaper having a general circulation in said\n\nmunicipality, and such notice shall briefly state the class of bonds\n\nand interest to be refunded, the approximate amount, and the time\n\nand place of the meeting at which said refunding will be authorized;\n\nsuch notice shall be published not less than (10) ten nor more than\n\nthirty (30) days prior to the date set therein for the\n\nauthorization. The resolution or ordinance authorizing the issuance\n\nof such bonds may be adopted at the time designated in such notice,\n\nor on the date set the governing body may adjourn to a later date\n\nand such resolution or ordinance adopted at such adjourned meeting\n\nwithout further notice. Bonds issued under this act, by any county,\n\nshall be signed by the chairman of the board of county\n\ncommissioners, and attested by the county clerk, under the seal of\n\nthe county. Bonds issued by any city shall be signed by the mayor,\n\nand attested by the city clerk, under the seal of the city. Bonds\n\nissued by any towns shall be signed by the president of the board of\n\ntrustees, and attested by the town clerk, under the seal of the\n\ntown. Bonds issued by any township shall be signed by the trustee,\n\nattested by the township clerk, and countersigned by the township\n\ntreasurer; provided, however, where any township has outstanding\n\nindebtedness, which is sought to be refunded under this act, and\n\nwhere such township form of government has been abolished, such\n\nbonds shall be signed by the chairman of the board of county\n\ncommissioners of the county in which such township is located, who\n\nshall sign and act in the place of the trustee or president of the\n\nboard of cirectors of such township, and shall be attested by the\n\ncounty clerk, and countersigned by the county treasurer, acting and\n\nsigning in the place of the clerk or treasurer, respectively, of the\n\nboard of directors of such township. Bonds issued by the board of\n\neducation of any city or town shall be signed by the president, and\n\nattested by the clerk of the board, under the seal of such board.\n\nBonds issued by any school district shall be signed by the director,\n\nattested by the clerk, and countersigned by the treasurer of such\n\nschool district board. The interest coupons attached to said bonds\n\nshall be executed by the lithographed facsimile signatures of the\n\nofficers designated to sign such bonds.
