Stat. tit. 62, § 62-447","heading":"District court - Application for order authorizing","body":"transfer - Hearing.\n\nProvided, however, that before any governing body of such city\n\nor town shall make such transfer, application shall be made by such\n\ngoverning body to the district court of the county for an order\n\nauthorizing it so to do. Such application shall be filed in the\n\noffice of the clerk of the district court as in other cases, setting\n\nforth briefly, the amount of money in the sinking fund of said city\n\nor town, and the amount of all its outstanding bonds, interest and\n\njudgments, and the amount of the sinking fund that the governing\n\nbody wishes to transfer to the general fund of the said city or\n\ntown.\n\nNotice of the hearing of said application shall be given by\n\npublication of a notice thereof in a newspaper of general\n\ncirculation throughout the county, for two (2) consecutive weekly\n\nissues of such newspaper. Upon the date fixed for the hearing of\n\nsaid application, any taxpayer, bond, coupon or judgment holder may\n\nappear and contest the same.
