There is hereby created until July 1, 2023, the \"State\n\nRevenue Apportionment Evaluation Commission\".\n\nB. The Commission shall consist of nine (9) members to be\n\nappointed or selected as follows:\n\n1. Two persons appointed by the Governor;\n\n2. Two persons to be appointed by the Speaker of the Oklahoma\n\nHouse of Representatives, one member of the majority party and one\n\nmember of the minority party;\n\n3. Two persons to be appointed by the President Pro Tempore of\n\nthe Oklahoma State Senate, one member of the majority party and one\n\nmember of the minority party;\n\n4. The Executive Director of the Oklahoma Tax Commission or a\n\ndesignee;\n\n5. The Director of the Office of Management and Enterprise\n\nServices or a designee; and\n\n6. The State Treasurer or a designee.\n\nC. Any person appointed to the Commission pursuant to\n\nsubsection B of this section shall serve at the pleasure of the\n\nappointing authority and may be removed by such appointing authority\n\nwithout cause.\n\nD. The Commission shall hold an organizational meeting not\n\nlater than sixty (60) days after the effective date of this act and\n\nshall select from among its membership a chair and vice-chair.\n\nE. The Commission shall be subject to the provisions of the\n\nOklahoma Open Meeting Act and the Oklahoma Open Records Act.\n\nF. The Commission shall be authorized to meet as often as\n\nrequired in order to perform the duties imposed upon it by law.\n\nG. Staff assistance to the Commission shall be provided by the\n\nOklahoma House of Representatives, the Oklahoma State Senate, the\n\nOffice of Management and Enterprise Services and the Oklahoma Tax\n\nCommission.\n\nH. The Commission shall analyze the state revenue system with\n\nspecial emphasis on the amount of revenue which is apportioned for\n\npurposes other than expenditures from the General Revenue Fund of\n\nthe State Treasury. The Commission shall prepare a summary, within\n\none hundred twenty (120) days after the end of each fiscal year, of\n\nthe revenue sources which are apportioned to destinations other than\n\nthe General Revenue Fund, the amount of revenue apportioned to those\n\nsources or purposes and the tax or other revenue system from which\n\nthe apportionment is derived, the total amount of revenue from the\n\nstate tax and revenue structure that is apportioned for purposes\n\nother than expenditures from the General Revenue Fund, a summary of\n\nany changes to apportionments enacted during the immediately\n\npreceding regular session of the Legislature and any other\n\ninformation which the Commission determines to be necessary for a\n\ncomplete analysis of the topic of apportioned revenues.\n\nI. The annual report required by subsection H of this section\n\nshall be delivered to the Governor, the Speaker of the Oklahoma\n\nHouse of Representatives and the President Pro Tempore of the State\n\nSenate by the deadline prescribed in subsection H of this section.\n\nThe annual report shall also be posted to the Internet website of\n\nthe Oklahoma Tax Commission.","path":["OK Code","Title 62"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os62.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"68f8ef82289e3cfbbf3624838b43b97df3c64c7b0b3cbce08ce6aa1a0411ab0b","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-62-62-46.3","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-62-62-461"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
