Stat. tit. 62, § 62-504","heading":"Claims of officers against counties - Penalty for","body":"violation.\n\nAny county officer of any county of this state who files any\n\nclaim against any contingent or special fund, of the county, must\n\nfile a complete statement, setting out specifically each item\n\ncovered by such claim, and if for money expended, receipts for money\n\nso expended must be filed with the claim, and any officer filing a\n\nclaim against any special or contingent fund, and any board of\n\ncounty commissioners allowing claims on any contingent or special\n\nfunds of the county, that does not comply with all the provisions as\n\nset forth in this act, shall be liable on their official bond to the\n\ncounty in double the amount of said claim or claims, so allowed, and\n\nit shall be the duty of the district attorneys within their\n\nrespective counties to enter suit in the name of the county against\n\nthe official bonds of said officer, or commissioners, to recover\n\nsaid amount so illegally allowed and the penalty as provided in this\n\nact.","path":["OK Code","Title 62"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os62.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"4d2f3af774cdd92ef82932ef03af2156ba3ceb413757a8cd0de36b440ecdf1ce","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-62-62-50.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-62-62-505"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
