Stat. tit. 62, § 62-554","heading":"Treasurer shall deliver warrant register to successor","body":"Every treasurer shall, upon the expiration of his term of\n\noffice, deliver to his successor in office such warrant register,\n\nand each successor in office shall in all things act as though the\n\nentries of such warrants or orders were made and registered by\n\nhimself and the registration of all warrants in such book of warrant\n\nregistration shall be by each succeeding treasurer continued and no\n\nwarrant shall draw interest until registered as herein provided for,\n\nand not paid for want of sufficient funds; and all warrants\n\nregistered, as provided by this article, and not paid for want of\n\nsufficient funds, shall draw an annual rate of interest to be fixed\n\nby the governing board not to exceed five percent (5%) per annum,\n\nexcept state warrants which shall draw interest at a rate to be\n\nfixed by the State Board of Equalization not to exceed four percent\n\n(4%) per annum.","path":["OK Code","Title 62"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os62.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"706bd76138bd00993319084199c0fff162a73d8874ad69a778d1d22c4d789918","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-62-62-553","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-62-62-555"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
