Stat. tit. 62, § 62-654","heading":"Election on issuance of revenue bonds","body":"(a) Revenue bonds may be issued by a public trust as referred to\n\nin Section 2 above for the purposes set forth in Sections 2 and 3\n\nhereof only with the approval of a majority of the qualified\n\nelectors of the municipality or county voting at an election called\n\nfor that purpose. An election on the question of issuing revenue\n\nbonds shall be held at the request of the trustees at such time as\n\nthe governing body of the municipality or the board of county\n\ncommissioners of a county shall designate by ordinance or\n\nresolution. Such ordinance or resolution shall specifically state\n\nthe purpose for which the bonds are to be issued, the total amount\n\nof the issue and the date upon which the election is to held, which\n\ndate shall not occur earlier than thirty (30) days after the passage\n\nof said ordinance or resolution.\n\n(b) The election shall be held and conducted, the vote\n\ncanvassed, and the results declared in the manner now or hereafter\n\nprovided for municipal or county elections, so far as the same may\n\nbe applicable, except as herein otherwise provided.\n\n(c) Notice of the election shall be given by the mayor or board\n\nof county commissioners by advertisement in a newspaper of general\n\ncirculation within the municipality or county once a week for four\n\n(4) consecutive weeks, with the last publication to be not less than\n\nten (10) days prior to the date of said election.\n\n(d) only qualified electors of the municipality or county shall\n\nhave a right to vote at said election.\n\n(e) The results of the election shall be proclaimed by the mayor\n\nor chairman of the board of county commissioners, and shall be\n\nconclusive unless attacked in the courts within thirty (30) days\n\nafter the date of such proclamation.","path":["OK Code","Title 62"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os62.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"09e71d528757c1d0bdb8619920bdeaef29a72e55747860d291de3d4ba49a10cf","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-62-62-653","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-62-62-655"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
