To the extent that public trusts that have the state or any\n\ncity, town or county as a beneficiary deposit monies in financial\n\ninstitutions, the public trust shall place its monies only in\n\ncollateralized or insured certificates of deposit and other\n\nevidences of deposit. To the extent that public trusts that have\n\nthe state as a beneficiary deposit monies in financial institutions,\n\nsuch trusts may act directly on their own behalf and for their own\n\naccount to document, implement and administer the collateralizing of\n\nsuch deposits, so long as the collateralizing or pledge of assets by\n\nfinancial institutions is made with the same type of collateral and\n\nin the same manner and form as pledges made to secure deposits by\n\nthe State Treasurer under the Security for Public Deposits Act.\n\nB.
