There is hereby created the State Board of Health, which\n\nshall be an advisory body to the State Commissioner of Health and\n\nshall consist of nine (9) members appointed by the Governor and\n\nconfirmed by the Senate for regular terms of nine (9) years, except\n\nas hereinafter otherwise indicated. Effective January 14, 2019, all\n\nduties and powers of the Board shall be transferred to the\n\nCommissioner. Any provision in statute that provides to the Board\n\nauthority that is not advisory in nature shall be deemed to grant\n\nthe duty or power to the Commissioner.\n\n2. Not less than four members shall hold a current license to\n\npractice medicine in this state pursuant to the Oklahoma Allopathic\n\nMedical and Surgical Licensure and Supervision Act and the Oklahoma\n\nOsteopathic Medicine Act. At least one physician member shall be a\n\nperson licensed to practice medicine in this state by the State\n\nBoard of Osteopathic Examiners. Physician members licensed by the\n\nState Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision shall be members of\n\nthe Oklahoma State Medical Association. One physician member shall\n\nbe a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or\n\nbe similarly qualified.\n\n3. Not less than two members shall possess at least five (5)\n\nyears of executive leadership experience in a health-related\n\nbusiness or industry, and whose education and experience includes\n\nbut is not limited to fiduciary, legal, business planning, or\n\noperational decision-making authority.\n\nB. 1. The term of office of one member shall expire on June\n\n30, 1964, and each nine (9) years thereafter, and such member shall\n\nbe a resident of one of the following counties and shall have been a\n\nresident of one or more of such counties for not less than five (5)\n\nyears immediately preceding such member's appointment: Creek,\n\nLincoln, Okfuskee, Seminole, Pottawatomie, Pontotoc, Hughes,\n\nJohnston, and Coal.\n\n2. The term of office of one member shall expire on June 30,\n\n1965, and each nine (9) years thereafter, and such member shall be a\n\nresident of one of the following counties and shall have been a\n\nresident of one or more of such counties for not less than five (5)\n\nyears immediately preceding such member's appointment: Blaine,\n\nKingfisher, Canadian, Caddo, Grady, Comanche, Stephens, Jefferson,\n\nand Cotton.\n\n3. The term of office of one member shall expire on June 30,\n\n1966, and each nine (9) years thereafter, and such member shall be a\n\nresident of one of the following counties and shall have been a\n\nresident of one or more of such counties for not less than five (5)\n\nyears immediately preceding such member's appointment: Le Flore,\n\nLatimer, Pittsburg, Atoka, Pushmataha, McCurtain, Choctaw, Bryan,\n\nMarshall, Carter, and Love.\n\n4. The term of office of one member shall expire on June 30,\n\n1967, and each nine (9) years thereafter, and such member shall be a\n\nresident of one of the following counties and shall have been a\n\nresident of one or more of such counties for not less than five (5)\n\nyears immediately preceding such member's appointment: Cimarron,\n\nTexas, Beaver, Harper, Woodward, Woods, Major, Alfalfa, Grant,\n\nGarfield, Kay, and Noble.\n\n5. The term of office of one member shall expire on June 30,\n\n1968, and each nine (9) years thereafter, and such member shall be a\n\nresident of one of the following counties and shall have been a\n\nresident of one or more of such counties for not less than five (5)\n\nyears immediately preceding such member's appointment: Adair,\n\nSequoyah, Cherokee, Wagoner, Muskogee, Haskell, McIntosh, and\n\nOkmulgee.\n\n6. The term of office of one member shall expire on June 30,\n\n1969, and each nine (9) years thereafter, and such member shall be a\n\nresident of one of the following counties and shall have been a\n\nresident of one or more of such counties for not less than five (5)\nears immediately preceding such member's appointment: Adair,\n\nSequoyah, Cherokee, Wagoner, Muskogee, Haskell, McIntosh, and\n\nOkmulgee.\n\n6. The term of office of one member shall expire on June 30,\n\n1969, and each nine (9) years thereafter, and such member shall be a\n\nresident of one of the following counties and shall have been a\n\nresident of one or more of such counties for not less than five (5)\n\nyears immediately preceding such member's appointment: Ottawa,\n\nDelaware, Craig, Mayes, Nowata, Rogers, Washington, Tulsa, Pawnee,\n\nand Osage.\n\n7. The term of office of one member shall expire on June 30,\n\n1970, and each nine (9) years thereafter, and such member shall be a\n\nresident of one of the following counties and shall have been a\n\nresident of one or more of such counties for not less than five (5)\n\nyears immediately preceding such member's appointment: Logan,\n\nOklahoma, Cleveland, McClain, Garvin, Murray, and Payne.\n\n8. The term of office of one member shall expire on June 30,\n\n1971, and each nine (9) years thereafter, and such member shall be a\n\nresident of one of the following counties and shall have been a\n\nresident of one or more of such counties for not less than five (5)\n\nyears immediately preceding such member's appointment: Ellis, Dewey,\n\nRoger Mills, Custer, Beckham, Washita, Kiowa, Greer, Jackson,\n\nHarmon, and Tillman.\n\n9.
