Every hospital, health clinic and ambulance service shall\n\ndisplay at all times in a prominent place a printed sign with a\n\nminimum height of twenty (20) inches and a minimum width of fourteen\n\n(14) inches, with each letter to be a minimum of one-fourth (1/4)\n\ninch in height, which shall read as follows:\n\nWARNING: ASSAULTING A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL WHO IS ENGAGED IN THE\n\nPERFORMANCE OF HIS OR HER OFFICIAL DUTIES IS A SERIOUS CRIME.\n\nSection 650.4 of Title 21 of the Oklahoma Statutes.\n\nB. Every hospital, health clinic and ambulance service shall\n\nreport by January 31 all assaults for the prior year on all medical\n\ncare providers in the facility, on facility property, or while\n\nperforming duties in an official capacity to the State Department of\n\nHealth on an annual basis without any identifying information\n\nregarding the individual who was assaulted or who committed the\n\nassault. The following data shall be provided to the Department:\n\n1. An aggregate number of individuals assaulted annually;\n\n2. The type of assault, either verbal, physical, and/or sexual;\n\n3. Role of the perpetrator, either coworker, patient, or\n\npatient's family; and\n\n4. Location of the assault.\n\nThe State Department of Health shall have rulemaking authority to\n\nimplement the provisions of this section.\n\nC. The State Department of Health shall not make public any\n\nidentifiable information in regard to facility, individual or\n\nlocation of assaults, if such information is received.
