Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-116","heading":"Definitions","body":"When used in the Oklahoma Health Care Information System Act:\n\n1. \"Board\" means the State Board of Health;\n\n2. \"Commissioner\" means the State Commissioner of Health;\n\n3. \"Department\" means the State Department of Health;\n\n4. \"Health care providers\" means a hospital or related\n\ninstitution licensed pursuant to Section 1-702 of this title,\n\nnursing facilities licensed pursuant to Section 1-1903 of this\n\ntitle, physicians as specified in paragraphs 1 through 6 of\n\nsubsection A of Section 725.2 of Title 59 of the Oklahoma Statutes,\n\nphysical therapists, physician assistants, pharmacists, nurses and\n\nhome health care providers licensed pursuant to the laws of this\n\nstate;\n\n5. \"Third-party payor\" means any entity, other than a\n\npurchaser, which is responsible for payment either to the purchaser\n\nor the health care provider for health care services rendered by the\n\nhealth care provider;\n\n6. \"Public-supported provider\" means any public or private\n\nentity supported in whole or in part by federal or state funds, or\n\nany health care provider contracting with the state for providing\n\nhealth care services including, but not limited to, Medicaid;\n\n7. \"Identifying information\" means a program identifying number\n\nassigned for purposes of statistical and data analysis, which\n\nprotects and maintains patient and physician anonymity. Identifying\n\ninformation shall remain confidential as provided in Section 1-120\n\nof this title;\n\n8. \"Information providers\" means and includes health care\n\nproviders, third-party payors or public-supported providers required\n\nto report or submit information to the Division of Health Care\n\nInformation pursuant to the Oklahoma Health Care Information System\n\nAct;\n\n9. \"Division\" means the Division of Health Care Information;\n\nand\n\n10. \"Health care information system\" means the system for\n\nreceipt, collection, analysis, evaluation, processing, utilization\n\nand dissemination of health care data established and maintained by\n\nthe Division of Health Care Information pursuant to the Oklahoma\n\nHealth Care Information System Act.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"a0176fc08806fd6951f2defce02b505f51b82fa2562c4d8e552e918851133942","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-1154","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-1160"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
