As used in this act:\n\n1. \"Agricultural food animal\" means any domesticated animal\n\nbelonging to the bovine, caprine, ovine, or porcine species, or any\n\ndomesticated chicken or turkey;\n\n2. \"Cultivated-protein food product\" means a food product\n\nhaving one or more sensory attributes that resemble a type of tissue\n\noriginating from an agricultural food animal but that, in lieu of\n\nbeing derived from meat processing, is derived from manufacturing\n\ncells or nonanimal sources, including processes in which one or more\n\nstem cells are initially isolated from an agricultural food animal,\n\nare grown in vitro, and may be manipulated, as part of a\n\nmanufacturing operation;\n\n3. \"Identifying meat term\" means any word or phrase that\n\nstates, indicates, suggests, or describes a meat product and\n\nincludes any:\n\na. common name for the species of the agricultural food\n\nanimal subject to slaughter and processing, including\n\ncalf, chicken, cow, goat, hog, kid, lamb, pig,\n\npoultry, sheep, or turkey,\n\nb. any characteristic of a species of the agricultural\n\nfood animal subject to slaughter and processing,\n\nincluding beef, broiler, cabrito, chevon, fryer, lamb,\n\nmutton, pork, poulet, veal, or yearling, and\n\nc. common name used to describe a major cut of a meat of\n\nan agricultural food animal slaughtered and processed,\n\nincluding a major meat cut or any other common name\n\nthat a reasonable purchaser would immediately and\n\nexclusively associate with a meat product prepared for\n\nsale in normal commercial channels, including bacon,\n\nbologna, bone, brat, bratwurst, brisket, burger, butt,\n\nchop, chuck, cold cut, cutlet, filet, flat iron,\n\nfrank, frankfurter, ham, hamburger, hock, hot dog,\n\njerky, liverwurst, loin, London broil, lunch meat, New\n\nYork strip, pepperoni, porterhouse, rib, ribeye,\n\nroast, salami, sausage, shank, sirloin, sparerib,\n\ntenderloin, or any comparable word or phrase;\n\n4. \"Insect-protein food product\" means a food product having\n\none or more sensory attributes that resemble a type of tissue\n\noriginating from an agricultural food animal but that, in lieu of\n\nbeing derived from meat processing, is derived from manufacturing\n\ninsect parts;\n\n5. \"Manufactured-protein food product\" means a cultivated\n\nprotein food product, insect-protein food product, or plant-protein\n\nfood product containing more than a trace amount of plant-protein\n\nfood products;\n\n6. \"Plant-protein food product\" means a food product having one\n\nor more sensory attributes that resemble a type of tissue found in a\n\nspecies of agricultural food animal but that, in lieu of being\n\nderived from meat processing, is derived from manufacturing plant\n\nparts; and\n\n7. \"Qualifying term\" means a word, compound word, or phrase\n\nthat would clearly disclose to a reasonable purchaser of meat\n\nproducts that a food product is not a meat product including cell-\n\ncultivated, cell-cultured, fake, grown in a lab, imitation, insect,\n\ninsect-based, insect protein, lab-created, lab-grown, meat-free,\n\nmeatless, plant, plant-based, vegan, vegetable, vegetarian, veggie,\n\nor any comparable word or phrase.\n\nB. No person shall falsely advertise or misbrand any food or\n\ndistribute, offer for sale, or sell any misbranded food.\n\nC. A food shall be deemed to be falsely advertised or\n\nmisbranded if:\n\n1. For any manufactured-protein food product that is labeled\n\nwith an identifying meat term, such manufactured-protein food\n\nproduct is not labeled with a conspicuous and prominent qualifying\n\nterm in close proximity to the identifying meat term; or\n\n2. For any manufactured-protein food product that is labeled\n\nwith an identifying meat term and offered for sale at a food\n\nestablishment, such manufactured-protein food product is not labeled\n\nin a manner that is clearly and distinctly separate from any product\n\nthat is made from tissue originating from any agricultural food\n\nanimal.\n\nD. A manufactured-protein food product is falsely advertised or\n. For any manufactured-protein food product that is labeled\n\nwith an identifying meat term and offered for sale at a food\n\nestablishment, such manufactured-protein food product is not labeled\n\nin a manner that is clearly and distinctly separate from any product\n\nthat is made from tissue originating from any agricultural food\n\nanimal.\n\nD. A manufactured-protein food product is falsely advertised or\n\nmisbranded if:\n\n1. All labeling or advertising for such manufactured-protein\n\nfood product that lists an identifying meat term does not include a\n\nconspicuous and prominent qualifying term in close proximity to the\n\nidentifying meat term; or\n\n2. For any manufactured-protein food product that is offered\n\nfor sale at a food establishment, such manufactured-protein food\n\nproduct is not stored in a manner that:\n\na. keeps such product separate from tissue originating\n\nfrom agricultural food animals, and\n\nb. uses distinctive shelf tags or other posted\n\nrepresentations to identify and distinguish such\n\nmanufactured-protein food product from tissue\n\noriginating from agricultural food animals.\n\nE. The Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry shall\n\ninvestigate all credible complaints that food products are falsely\n\nadvertised or misbranded as meat products.\n\nF. Any person who violates the provisions of this act shall,\n\nupon conviction, be guilty of a misdemeanor.\n\nG. A manufacturer of food under Sections 1-1118, 1-1118.1, and\n\n1-1119 of Title 63 of the Oklahoma Statutes that violates this act\n\nshall be subject to all enforcement measures as provided by rule of\n\nthe Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry.\n\nH.
