It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or maintain a\n\nhotel unless he or she shall have first obtained, and holds, a\n\nlicense issued for such purpose by the State Commissioner of Health.\n\nUnless otherwise provided by rule by the Commissioner, each such\n\nlicense shall expire on the 30th day of June next following its\n\nissuance, and the Commissioner shall charge and collect therefor an\n\nannual fee to be fixed by the Commissioner. The term \"hotel\" as\n\nused in this section shall mean and include any hotel, motel,\n\ntourist court, apartment house, rooming house or other place where\n\nsleeping accommodations are furnished, or offered, for pay for\n\ntransient guests, if five or more rooms are available therein for\n\ntransient guests. This section shall apply to the operation of a\n\nhotel by a state board.\n\nB. The Commissioner may adopt reasonable standards, rules and\n\nregulations for hotels as to the following: cleanliness and\n\nbactericidal treatment of equipment and utensils; cleanliness and\n\nhygiene of personnel; toilet facilities; disposal of wastes; water\n\nsupply; and any other items deemed necessary to safeguard the\n\nhealth, comfort and safety of guests accommodated therein.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"2aa2510a8245f780cff3675a67a772e084b7003590af40dbcbafa5b26a9c4ba7","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-120","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-121"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
