The Legislature hereby finds that:\n\n1. There is, in addition to cosmetic reasons, a growing need\n\nfor medical micropigmentation in the treatment of clinical\n\nconditions or traumas such as cancer, surgery, and burns;\n\n2. Medical micropigmentation is being performed in Oklahoma;\n\nand\n\n3. Oklahoma law does not provide sufficient regulation of\n\nmedical micropigmentation to assure the protection of the public.\n\nTherefore, there is a need to provide legislation to enable the\n\nappropriate entities to regulate persons performing medical\n\nmicropigmentation on the citizens of this state.\n\nB.
