The State Board of Health, giving consideration to the\n\nrecommendations of the Consumer Protection Licensing Advisory\n\nCouncil created in Section 44 of this act, and in cooperation with\n\nthe Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education, may\n\nadopt a curriculum of required courses and establish by rule the\n\ntypes of courses to be offered. The complete program of instruction\n\napproved by the State Board of Health in theory and clinical\n\ntraining shall consist of at least three hundred (300) hours or the\n\nequivalent of competency-based instruction.\n\nB. 1. In order to provide the State Department of Health\n\nconfirmation of each applicant's competency, written theory and\n\nclinical tests shall be administered by the Oklahoma Department of\n\nCareer and Technology Education.\n\n2. Applicants otherwise qualified to practice medical\n\nmicropigmentation as determined by the State Department of Health\n\npursuant to the Oklahoma Medical Micropigmentation Regulation Act\n\nmay be certified to perform medical micropigmentation without taking\n\nor completing the program of instruction specified by this section\n\nif the applicant obtains a passing score for both the written theory\n\nand clinical tests. Not later than January 1, 2002, the State Board\n\nof Health shall promulgate rules to implement the provisions of this\n\nparagraph.\n\n3. The State Board of Health, giving consideration to the\n\nrecommendations of the Consumer Protection Licensing Advisory\n\nCouncil created in Section 44 of this act, shall set, by rule, a\n\nminimum passing score for both written theory and clinical tests.\n\nC. The Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education\n\nmay provide training and shall provide testing programs required by\n\nthis section for anyone qualified to apply for a certificate\n\npursuant to the provisions of Section 1-1454 of this title. The\n\ntraining and testing programs shall meet the standards established\n\npursuant to the provisions of this section. The State Department of\n\nHealth may approve training programs that meet the standards\n\nestablished pursuant to the provisions of this act.\n\nD. After the initial training program offered pursuant to\n\nsubsection C of this section, the Oklahoma Department of Career and\n\nTechnology Education may provide a complete curriculum for the\n\ntraining and testing of applicants for certification as deemed\n\nneeded by the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology\n\nEducation.\n\nE. The State Department of Health may approve applicants for\n\ncertification by reciprocity. An applicant shall qualify for\n\ncertification by reciprocity if the applicant:\n\n1. Has qualifications and training comparable to those required\n\nunder the Oklahoma Medical Micropigmentation Regulation Act;\n\n2. Provides documentation verifying two (2) years of experience\n\nand a minimum of two hundred (200) procedures; and\n\n3.
