Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-1503","heading":"Diagnostic x-ray systems - Official state agency -","body":"Healing arts practitioners.\n\nA. The State Department of Health is hereby designated as the\n\nofficial agency of the State of Oklahoma for all regulatory\n\nactivities pertaining to health and safety in the use of diagnostic\n\nx-ray systems, and shall act as the coordinating agency for the\n\npurpose of cooperating with other states, the United States Public\n\nHealth Service and other federal agencies in the administration of\n\nprograms relating to diagnostic x-ray systems, available to the\n\nState of Oklahoma under federal laws; and it shall encourage,\n\nparticipate in, and conduct studies, investigations, training,\n\nresearch and demonstrations relating to constructive uses of\n\ndiagnostic x-ray systems and the prevention and control of its\n\nassociated harmful effects or unnecessary exposure, the effects to\n\nhealth on exposure to x-rays, and related problems.\n\nB. Nothing in the Diagnostic X-Ray Facility Act shall interfere\n\nwith the doctor-patient relationship of any licensed member of the\n\nhealing arts; nor shall anything in the Diagnostic X-Ray Facility\n\nAct prohibit a licensed practitioner of the healing arts, or an\n\nindividual under the direction of such licensed practitioner, from\n\nusing x-rays or other sources of radiation and/or fluoroscopes for\n\ndiagnostic, research or treatment purposes, as authorized under the\n\nPractitioner's Licensing Act, provided the radiation devices and the\n\nrelated facilities of the practitioner shall comply with the rules\n\nand regulations promulgated under the provisions of the Diagnostic\n\nX-Ray Facility Act.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"fc271a173ec94beffae2d2492d835ab82d79bb21f01bfbd22c3b3ebaec814f2b","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-1502","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-1505"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
