Stat. tit. 63, § 63-1-1505","heading":"Rules for diagnostic x-ray facilities","body":"The State Board of Health shall have the authority, giving\n\nconsideration to the recommendations of the Consumer Protection\n\nLicensing Advisory Council created in Section 44 of this act, to\n\nadopt reasonable rules for diagnostic x-ray facilities on the\n\nfollowing: establishment of standards for safe levels of protection\n\nagainst radiation; maintenance and submission of records;\n\ndetermination, prevention and control of radiation hazards;\n\nreporting of radiation accidents; handling, storage and registration\n\nof diagnostic x-ray systems; periodic inspections of diagnostic x-\n\nray facilities; review and approval of plans, and issuance and\n\nrevocation of permits, for the use of diagnostic x-ray systems;\n\nprevention and control of any significant associated harmful effects\n\nof exposure to x-rays; and other items deemed necessary for the\n\nprotection of the public health and safety in diagnostic x-ray\n\nfacilities.
