Except as provided by Section 10-111 of Title 43A of the\n\nOklahoma Statutes, every long-term care facility, as defined in\n\nSection 1-1945 of Title 63 of the Oklahoma Statutes, must provide\n\nreasonable access to a resident by immediate family, compassionate\n\ncaregivers, other relatives of the resident, essential support\n\npersons, and the Oklahoma Long-Term Care Ombudsman subject to the\n\nresident's or, if they are incapacitated, their legally appointed\n\nrepresentative's right to deny or withdraw consent at any time.\n\nCompassionate caregivers may be family members, friends, volunteers,\n\nor other individuals identified by a resident, the resident's\n\nfamily, or facility staff, who assist residents with activities of\n\ndaily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating, or who provide\n\nemotional, mental, or spiritual support to residents.\n\nB. Every long-term care facility must provide reasonable access\n\nto a resident by health care providers who are contracted with the\n\nfacility to provide such care, subject to the resident's right to\n\ndeny or withdraw consent at any time.\n\nC. Long-term care facilities shall include and submit to the\n\nState Department of Health in their emergency-preparedness plan\n\nprocedures for visitation during an emergency. The visitation plan\n\nshall be made available by the facility to contracted health care\n\nproviders, family members, essential support persons, and\n\ncompassionate caregivers upon request. Visitation and access\n\ndescribed in subsections A and B of this section may be subject to\n\nreasonable clinical and safety restrictions as ordered by the State\n\nDepartment of Health or the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid\n\nServices.\n\nD.
