The Department of Corrections shall immediately notify\n\nthe State Department of Health of any person who is registered\n\npursuant to the Sex Offenders Registration Act or any person who is\n\nregistered pursuant to the Mary Rippy Violent Crime Offenders\n\nRegistration Act who is seeking placement from a Department of\n\nCorrections facility to any long-term care facility in this state.\n\nUpon receipt of such notification, the State Department of Health\n\nshall notify the long-term care facility in which the sex offender\n\nis seeking placement.\n\n2. The State Board of Health shall promulgate rules requiring\n\nlong-term care facilities to determine from the local law\n\nenforcement authority or the Department of Corrections the\n\nregistration status of the following individuals who are required to\n\nregister pursuant to the Sex Offenders Registration Act or the Mary\n\nRippy Violent Crime Offenders Registration Act:\n\na. an applicant for admission to a long-term care\n\nfacility,\n\nb. a resident of a long-term care facility, and\n\nc. an employee of a long-term care facility.\n\n3. Once a long-term care facility is notified that an\n\nindividual who is required to register pursuant to the Sex Offenders\n\nRegistration Act or the Mary Rippy Violent Crime Offenders\n\nRegistration Act is residing at such facility, the facility shall\n\nimmediately in writing notify the State Department of Health.\n\nB. Upon the effective date of this act, when the Department of\n\nCorrections knows of an offender who is required to register\n\npursuant to the Sex Offenders Registration Act or the Mary Rippy\n\nViolent Crime Offenders Registration Act is being released from\n\nDepartment of Corrections jurisdiction, the Department of\n\nCorrections shall immediately notify the State Department of Health.","path":["OK Code","Title 63"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os63.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"a3d84a06493d090931e610788755655106293ff987d74524b4b1672244e24ca4","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-1945","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-63-63-1-1947"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
