A nursing facility or a residential care facility is\n\nauthorized to maintain bulk supplies of nonprescription drugs for\n\ndispensing to residents of such facility pursuant to the provisions\n\nof this section.\n\nB. If ordered or otherwise authorized by a physician currently\n\nlicensed to practice medicine in this state, nonprescription drugs\n\nmay be dispensed to a resident of the nursing facility or\n\nresidential care facility for nonscheduled dosage regimens.\n\nC. 1. The State Board of Health shall promulgate rules\n\nnecessary for proper control and dispensing of nonprescription drugs\n\nin nursing facilities and residential care facilities, relating to:\n\na. specific nonprescription drugs to be dispensed,\n\nb. recordkeeping,\n\nc. storage of nonprescription drugs, and\n\nd. dispensing requirements.\n\n2.
